We also interpret colors and shapes in a different part of our brain. When a type of word is associated with a color, it establishes an anchor to that type of word. When it associates it to a shape, the brain creates a reinforcing reference for the use of the word.

Our brain recognizes patterns instinctually. When patterns are repeated, the pattern becomes ingrained in the way we treat the parts of that pattern. By associating different colors with different types of words, and creating easy to recognize colored patterns, we EASILY establish and ingrain the foundation of grammar.

When we create something using our hands while following a pattern, the patterns, the words, and the concepts stay with us longer through the Limbic part of our brain. When we create a totally different object from smaller parts
The creative component is what allows what is learned to be expanded beyond what is in the box. When creativity is used in conjunction with words, colors, patterns, and hands o construction, the brain cross references the activity with other non-related activities. When using hand on creation of buildings, cities, bridges, or cars, etc., we relate language to the real world and not only to memory. The more references outside of memory the easier it is to intuitively apply the learning with other words and naturally maintain correct grammar.
